PreFlight (“we”, “our”, “us”) is a waitlist management platform for independent developers and small teams. Our website is trypreflight.io. Questions about this policy can be sent to support@trypreflight.io.

2. Information we collect

Information you provide directly:

• Account details — name and email address when you sign up as a builder.
• Waitlist subscriber emails — email addresses collected via your public waitlist pages.
• Billing information — handled entirely by Stripe; we never store card numbers.

Information collected automatically:

• Basic usage data (pages visited, features used) to improve the product.
• Authentication tokens and session cookies necessary for you to stay logged in.

3. How we use your information

• To provide and operate the PreFlight service.
• To send transactional emails (account confirmations, billing receipts).
• To send product updates and announcements — you can opt out at any time.
• To detect and prevent abuse or fraudulent activity.
• To comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

4. Waitlist subscriber data

When someone subscribes to a waitlist you create, their email is stored in our database and associated with your account. You are the data controller for your subscribers’ data. You are responsible for having a lawful basis to collect and email them. PreFlight processes this data on your behalf as a data processor.

5. Third-party services

We use the following sub-processors:

• Supabase — database and authentication.
• Stripe — payment processing.
• Resend — transactional email delivery.
• Fly.io — application hosting.

Each of these providers has their own privacy policy and data processing agreements.

6. Data retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data is removed within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or billing purposes.

7. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, email us at support@trypreflight.io. We will respond within 30 days.

8. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you authenticated and remember your preferences. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

9. Children’s privacy

PreFlight is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with their data, please contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or by a notice on our website. Continued use of PreFlight after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
